This section describes the typical steps an operator follows to get started with Synamedia Go. Exact details can vary by deployment and commercial agreements, but the overall flow is consistent.
Before configuration begins, the following should be defined:
Commercial scope and packs
Confirm which Go packs are in scope (e.g. Go.Monetize, Go.Personalise, Go.Recommend, Go.Aggregate).
Partner choices
Select preferred partners for UI, identity/billing, metadata, ad-tech and analytics (from Synamedia’s partner network or your own).
Content strategy and business model
Determine what you are launching: SVOD, AVOD/FAST, TVOD/PPV, or a hybrid model.
Synamedia provisions a Synamedia Go tenant for your organisation. As part of onboarding, you typically receive:
URL(s) for the management/administration consoles
Admin credentials or IdP configuration details
Basic environment information (staging/production, regions, etc.)
Using the administration tools or APIs, configure the foundations of your service:
Content Ingestion & Catalog
Configure content sources for VOD and live/linear channels.
Onboard EPG and metadata feeds (e.g. via metadata partners or internal sources).
Markets & Devices
Set up regions/markets, languages and regulatory parameters.
Define which devices/platforms the service will support at launch.
User & Entitlement Rules
Configure account creation flows (direct registration, SSO via external IdP, etc.).
Define entitlement rules for content (e.g. subscription tier, region locking, device caps).
Depending on the packs you have licensed:
Go.Monetize
Integrate with chosen CIAM and subscription/billing systems (e.g. Cleeng, InPlayer, Evergent).
Configure product catalog, offers, promotions, and payment flows.
Go.Personalise / Go.Recommend
Enable recommendation pipelines and personalisation options for the UI.
Align recommendation strategies with editorial and commercial objectives.
Go.Aggregate / Go.Enrich
Configure metadata ingestion from multiple catalogs and services.
Define rules for aggregation, de-duplication and enrichment to create a unified catalog.
Integrate UI clients (web/mobile/TV apps) against Synamedia Go’s APIs and authentication flows.
Apply branding, navigation structure, and layout (home rails, carousels, content groups).
Map metadata fields and recommendation APIs to UI components such as “Trending,” “Continue Watching,” “Recommended for You”.
Test end-to-end flows in staging: account creation, content playback, purchases, ad playback, and analytics events.
Run limited user or staff pilots as needed.
Promote configuration to production and coordinate go-live with operations, marketing and support teams.
