This section is aimed at day-to-day operators (service/ops managers and editorial staff) who need a practical “first steps” guide once the platform has been provisioned.
Navigate to the Synamedia Go admin/operations portal URL provided by your administrator.
Log in using your enterprise credentials or account provided during onboarding.
Verify that you can see the modules relevant to your role (e.g. content, editorial tools, operations dashboards, monetisation).
Check the service status/overview dashboard for any active alerts.
Confirm that:
Ingest pipelines are running (live channels and VOD ingest).
Core integrations (identity, billing, CDN, DRM) show as healthy.
If any major components show warnings or failures, follow your operational runbook or escalate to the platform admin.
Open the Content/Library section.
Confirm that:
Expected VOD titles and series are present.
Live/linear channels are correctly listed with EPG/guide data.
Artwork, genres, and descriptions look complete for a sample set of titles.
If Go.Aggregate/Go.Enrich is enabled, check that content from multiple sources appears unified in the catalog.
Go to the editorial or layout configuration area.
Create or update rails such as:
'Featured' or 'Editor’s Picks'
'New Releases'
'Top Channels' or 'Live Now'
Associate each rail with:
A content rule (e.g. by tag, genre, or manual selection)
Display order and visibility rules (e.g. all users vs. specific market)
Save and preview changes in a staging or preview environment.
Using a test account, step through:
Registration/login
Subscription purchase or activation
Playback of entitled content
If applicable, test TVOD/PPV purchase and refund/cancellation paths.
On a sample set of devices (web, mobile, TV app):
Sign in with a test user.
Confirm home page layout, rails, and branding appear correctly.
Play both live and VOD content.
Validate subtitles, audio tracks, and trick play behaviours.
Confirm that Continue Watching and basic personalisation behave as expected.
Once the above checks are complete and signed off:
Switch from test accounts to production settings with real plans and offers.
Establish daily/weekly operational routines, such as:
Monitoring ingests and service health dashboards
Reviewing key metrics (starts per user, completion rates, sign-ups, churn indicators)
Updating editorial rails and featured content
Document any tenant-specific quirks or processes in your internal runbook so new operators can onboard quickly.
