Synamedia Go uses catalogues and offers to control what content users see and what content they are entitled to watch. Together, they enable flexible content availability, regionalisation, and monetisation while enforcing commercial and regulatory rules.
Catalogues define the content visibility and experience structure for users and are dynamically assigned based on context.
Catalogue assignment is determined by:
User Region (Bouquet): Defines regional channel lineups and VOD availability.
Device Type: Enables device-specific catalogues (e.g. mobile, smart TV).
User Profile Type (optional): Supports Default, Teens, and Kids experiences.
A single catalogue can include both linear channels and VOD assets, enabling unified discovery.
Regional assignment ensures content availability aligns with licensing and regulatory requirements.
Guest users can be assigned a dedicated guest catalogue with limited visibility prior to authentication.
Catalogues are configured and curated using Experience Manager, including swimlanes, layouts, and rule-based presentation logic.
Offers define entitlement and access rights to content and features.
Offers can grant access to:
Linear channels or channel bouquets
VOD assets or content collections
Offers are managed through:
OpsHub for creation, updates, and validity periods
BOA API for assigning offers to households
Entitlements are validated in real time during playback and feature access.
In multi-OpCo deployments, satellite tenants manage their own offers while consuming shared content from a master tenant.
