Ads Frequency — shown as Ads Policy in the interface — lets an operator control how often an advertisement is shown while a viewer watches content from a swimlane. You set a threshold based on the number of items watched and/or the minutes of content watched; when a threshold is reached the client shows an ad before the viewer can continue.
The client tracks the number of assets and the total duration watched from the swimlane. If any configured condition is met, an advertisement is shown before allowing the viewer to continue.
Ads Policy is an optional, per-swimlane setting.
Ads Policy is set on the Setup page (the first step of the swimlane wizard), in the Ads Policy (optional) accordion. Each setting is independent: turn a setting on to configure it, or off to clear it.

The accordion contains two independent settings, each a switch with a number field:
Watched content amount – how many items are watched until an ad appears (adsPolicy.watchedContentCount).
Watched content duration (minutes) – how many minutes of content are watched until an ad appears (adsPolicy.watchedContentDurationMinutes).
Both values must be whole numbers of 1 or more. You can enable either one, or both — they are evaluated independently, so an ad appears when the first enabled threshold is reached.
Open the swimlane for editing (or start creating a swimlane) to reach the Setup page.
Expand the Ads Policy (optional) accordion.
To limit by number of items, turn on Watched content amount and enter the number of items that may be watched before an ad is shown.
To limit by time, turn on Watched content duration (minutes) and enter the number of minutes that may be watched before an ad is shown.
Leave a setting switched off to not use that condition (turning it off clears any value).
Continue through the wizard and publish the tree to apply the policy.

Opening a swimlane that already has a policy loads the saved values with the relevant switches on.
Change a value by typing a new number.
Turn a switch off to remove that condition; the input disappears and its value is cleared.
Turning both switches off removes the ads policy from the swimlane entirely.
When a swimlane has an ads policy, an Ads Policy icon is shown on the swimlane in the graphical view. Hovering it shows the active thresholds — only the conditions that are set are listed:
Items watched until an may appear.
Minutes watched until an may appear.

The two conditions are independent: an ad may get triggered when the first enabled threshold is reached.
Each value must be an integer of 1 or more.
In view-only (read-only) mode the fields are shown but cannot be edited.
